Par En ce premier dimanche de Carême, le pape Léon XIV s’est rendu à la paroisse du Sacré-Cœur de Jésus à Rome. Il a notamment médité sur le sens du Carême et sur la grâce du baptême.
Pour le pape, le temps liturgique du Carême permet de «redécouvrir la richesse de notre baptême, afin de vivre comme des créatures pleinement renouvelées grâce à l’Incarnation, à la mort et à la résurrection de Jésus».
Le pape s’est également rendu au conseil paroissial de la paroisse. Enfin, à la fin de cette visite pastorale, une icône du Bon-Pasteur a été remis au pape Léon XIV:

La paroisse Sacré-Cœur est située près de la gare de Roma-Termini.
C’est le deuxième déplacement du pape Léon XIV dans une paroisse romaine.
